“Gino’s DANCE COMBO” is a jazz style combo with highly skilled and experienced musicians. We are called a dance combo because we play the great dance steps of the ballroom era. The core musicians are the same of Gino’s Jazz Trio, piano, bass, & sax. Our music is stylistically the same, jazz “flavored” “standards” music. Additional Musicians: Our sound starts with an instrumental base and then builds from there. Defending on your needs, adding vocals is usually a first step. We have musicians that sing and play.

1.         The main difference between the trio and our four musicians is the addition of the drummer. Along with added music texture, dynamics, and nuances, the drummer is responsible for the rhythm and beat necessary for dancing. If you want dancing, you need to add a drummer to Gino’s Jazz Trio. The drums percussive rhythms & dance beats give our music a dance energy that makes you want to get up and dance! If you also need a male singer, Carl Radcliff is a seasoned drummer who sings great!

2.         Together we musicians have years of experience at the craft of playing music for every type of party. The main difference in the sound of our music is a result of an increase in instrumentation. For a brassy sound, we add a trumpet player. Playing along with the saxophone, the trumpet adds a big band brass sound to this swing band. Along with greater music texture, dynamics, and nuances, more musicians in the band helps to create a bigger more varied sound.

3.         A female singer is also a great addition to our sound. The female vocal transforms our instrumental sound to one filled with lyrics song to beautiful melodies. The female voice is the star of our music.

Our result is dance music at its finest. We play the great dance music you request. The piano, bass, & drums sets the foundation for me to direct the various music styles & beats while singing & playing clarinet, saxophone, and flute. We know all the tunes, what music to play when, and when to play loud & soft. We are professional musicians trained to play the great music that you want to hear.
